Kane Baccigalupi Lead Developer
Kane Baccigalupi started designing for the web over 12 years ago. An interest in the underpinnings of the web, led to learning C and PHP, while dabbling in Java, C++ and Visual Basic.
After a brief jaunt through the universe of mechanical engineering, where she worked on ATLAS, the detector for the world’s biggest particle accelerator, Kane found Ruby on Rails. Her love of Rails resulted in an even greater passion for Ruby.
She still works heavily in Rails but also has been working with Merb since version 0.5. Recently, Kane got core commit rights to DataMapper 0.9 and submitted a small patch to make selective associations easier to use.
Kane has a BFA in Fine Art from the San Francisco Art Institute and is currently loosing a bureaucratic battle with UC Berkeley to get her humanities credits accepted towards her otherwise complete BS in Mechanical Engineering.
